About the original TV show

Alf was a comedy series in the 80's about a creature from the planet Melmac who crashlanded in the garden of an american family.
It's favorite food were cats, and it's sense of humor was pretty crude, and basically not from this planet.

About the Minimix

For this mix, a couple of episodes were scanned for some great lines, and one of those episodes even contained a small rap section which of course was perfevt to be used in a mix like this one. The mix was broadcast and many people responded to this nutty groove featuring the hairy creature from Melmac. Next step was getting permission to release the mix. For this, all vocal lines, and the spoken texts were traced back to the episodes they came from, and the authors who had written them. New record contracts needed to be created for each and everyone of the authors.

This minimix is the 1987 Housemix The B-side, Cruisin on Melmac Interstate can be found on the Collectors Editons CD2
